In what follows, we try to illustrate the effects on CO2 pollution as a result of population growth. First, we have an indication of the ever increasing world CO2 emission over the years. The second graphic is an estimate of the per capita CO2 emission for each country shown. The final graphic on this page is an estimate of the total yearly emissions by the various countries.

This graphic displays the estimated total CO2 emission per country. It indicates the following two things: (1) increasing technological development leads to higher emission (2) Total emission increases with population
This figure indicates the estimated yearly CO2 emission per person for a few typical countries. The rate of per-person emission does not indicate a huge variation, one which would explain the overall drastic increase in the yearly worldwide emission.
