Looe, Cornwall - Headquarters Of British Shark Fishing

Looe, Cornwall is a major seaside town located in southeast Cornwall. It is also the headquarters of British shark and many fleets still run from here.
East Looe and West Looe were known as Planted boroughs many centuries ago. An estuary bridge linked the two towns and the bridge has been renovated since it was built in 1400s. East Looe was a well planned town and built to plan. The two towns are located on the opposite sides of River Looe.
East Looe was primarily a busy harbor, unlike West Looe which was quite with some shops. Looe is well connected with other places by bus and train. It is however wise to have your own transport to get around the rural town unless you can afford taxis.
There is a popular Roman Catholic Church in West Looe Hills who organize regular mass. The Harbor is still where many people go just to watch the wonderful scenery. The Old Guildhall is the local's town hall as it is the oldest building
in town.
While on sea, you can expect two tides a day. You can step on St George's Island once a year, where two sisters lived many years ago. Many say East Looe is certainly larger than West Looe. They are more like the two faces of the same coin, but still have their own features.
East Looe sandy beach is a very lovely place for families. The Banjo Pier is also a great place to visit and take a walk watching the trawlers. Do not be surprised if seagulls land up on your car or shoulder, it's a common scene here. While you are here, you could also visit Fowey, a small town across the Estuary. There are many ferry rides to enjoy and spend your day.
