| General remarks: While present 12" power hand planers serve the timber shops well for certain jobs, they fall short when higher volume production is required. On the other hand, the larger floor model planers are well suited for volume production, but they need large work areas and backup equipment for moving the timbers through the machine. The new planer will do all the jobs the power hand planers do and many of the jobs the larger floor model planers do - with much less human energy spent! |
